Satoru (サトル) is a character from the Aozora's Adventure series.
Background[]
Satoru is a young adult who was born to Matsuno and Stanford, and stayed in Japan with Matsuno when Stanford returned to America to scout out more jobs. Growing up, Satoru usually had rough times dealing with problems and was for most of his life independent, especially since he was prone to being scolded by Matsuno for anything he would do wrong. Through his experiences in early life, he developed a careful, relaxed, and laid back personality who got startled easily and got used to receiving constant discipline from superiors. Because of his personality, Satoru made little, if any, real friends, and spent most of it isolated and unable to confront his fears.
Things would change when Satoru met Zik in middle school, whose wild, upbeat, and social personality heavily contrasted with his, and sometime afterwards a friendship would click and Zik would because Satoru's first real friend, with Satoru tagging along with Zik for the remainder of their middle school years. Later on, Zik would introduce Satoru to Keisha and her friend Sakaki, with the later appealing more to Satoru due to Sakaki sharing may of Satoru's poor socialization traits.
At the start of high school, another person would make an appearance- one that seemed more interesting to Satoru than Zik: Aozora. One day when encountering him in the hallways while he was sitting and checking his backpack on a bench, Satoru, for the first time in his life since middle school, approached Aozora and greeted him with a small "Hello". Aozora looked up and responded with his own, more energetic-sounding "Hello", followed by moving his backpack and offering a seat. The two engaged banter for several minutes, followed by a handshake signaling a new friendship between the two boys. Since then, Satoru began tagging along with Aozora for many of his adventures, meeting new allies and learning to socialize and overcome his fears more easily.
